Internationals make it a quiet Saturday for Arsenal news

You can see which of our players will be in action here, with thanks to Arsenal.com.
Jens Lehmann has said it will take a “superman” to keep him out of the Arsenal side. Unfortunately for Jens, Manuel Almunia has been spied hurriedly changing in phone-boxes and wearing his pants outside of his trousers.
Another of our more mouthy players, Niklas Bendtner, has bemoaned the fact that he wasn’t on the bench against Portsmouth:
“I didn’t get any explanation. I don’t know why he did that and I’ll demand to know why and have a talk with Arsene Wenger when I get back. But what is said will stay between us.”
I’m sure Arsene is quaking in his boots.
Theo Walcott got an assist for the England U-21s last night, playing in his preferred position as a striker. If he continues to impress there at that level, Arsene may eventually give him a chance in the Premiership. Imagine how much that’d upset poor old Niklas.
Off to Wembley now to watch the glorious return of Emile Heskey. After the return of Heskey and Beckham, it’s only a matter of time until Paul Robinson is replaced by Peter Shilton. Tata.
