That’s the team news ahead of tomorrow’s huge North London derby. Philippe Senderos is suspended, and with William Gallas also injured, Johan Djourou will return to the starting line-up, which is perhaps no bad thing: some of our best performances came with him in the side. Emmanuel Eboue and Gael Clichy are also expected to return at full-back.
After consecutive defeats to Bolton and Fulham we simply must win. If we were to lose to Spurs and then go out of the Champions League to Porto our season would really be on the rocks.
Arsene is being positive, however, and has pointed out how much we have to gain from a victory. He’s also asked the fans and press not to criticise Alex Song: this website did not – it criticised his selection.
I cannot stress how vital victory is tomorrow. We’re more than capable, but let’s show it. And if Arsene needs any motivation, here it is.
