I hate trains.

This blog is, for tonight, not really very much to do with the news surrounding Arsenal football club.
It is, instead, a space for me to vent my anger at the British Railway System.
On Saturday, I’m going to Cardiff. Lucky me.
So in preparation for this, some time ago, I purchased a return ticket. Sorted myself nice and early, so I was secure I’d be alright to travel.
However:
Yesterday, I discovered that thanks to the wonder of the railway, paying £45 for a ticket does not even guarantee that they’ll let me on a train.
In fact, I would have to pay yet more in order to reserve a seat. So I tried to do that, but all of Saturday’s trains are now entirely booked up. Hurrah.
So I rang their helpline. Their advice:
“Oh, just turn up”.
Helpful.
At this point, I’d like to thank a man called Tony for sorting me a lift instead. And I’d also like to wish the people at Qjump and the National Rail a very painful death.
Goodnight.
