Birmingham 2 – 1 Arsenal

When you see that scoreline, you know something’s awry.
Then when you consider that the winning goal was a dramatic Emile Heskey strike. Well, it just had to be one of those “end of season” games.
I’m sure Birmingham played OK. Arsenal is a big scalp for them, and a great way to finish their season. But Arsene himself readily admits that we “had one eye already on Saturday and lost too many 50-50 balls”.
Worryingly, the winning goal came from a huge error from Philippe Senderos, momentarily forgetting that Heskey even existed (understandable), before proceeding to… well… just stand still.
It could cost him his cup final place.
Freddie Ljungberg seems to have proved his fitness though, whilst doubts remain over Thierry Henry and Jose Reyes. But if I were a betting man, I’d say:
They’ll play.
