Goalscorer Cesc Fabregas and team-mates embrace the man who always believed they could and would beat Milan.
It’s been a long night celebrating and I haven’t got too much to say now, other than that I’m proud of all the players to a man. They were oustanding.
Here are the goals and here is some quotey stuff from the managers.
This will hopefully prove to be the start of a hell of a run-in from our lot. In recent weeks the players looked bereft of confidence – last night they looked like they’d remembered how good they were. Hopefully they can take that reminder into Sunday’s game with Wigan and beyond. Perhaps they should write it on their hand: that always helps me.
Well done lads. You made us proud.
