Gunner-Blog “Man of the Moment” Thierry Henry tonight officially displaces Sol Campbell as our third-choice captain. With Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp both missing, a calming influence will be needed to steer the team to victory. Henry’s cool temperament make him an ideal choice for the coveted role.
But it was not always so, as this article perfectly demonstrates. Hopefully there’ll be no repeat of said antics tonight.
Some good news in the build-up to tonight’s game is that Arsene Wenger is edging closer and closer towards a new contract. It’s easy to see why he wants to stick around when you look at the young talent coming through, such as last night’s reserve team goalscorers, Anthony Stokes and Arturo Lupoli. Next weeks Carling Cup tie with Man City could be a real showcase for these young guns.
