Adebayor award/Kroenke’s shares/Damned internet

So, there was no update yesterday. I don’t know why I’m telling you that as you probably noticed, but anyway: there was no update yesterday. Why? Well, my broadband provider kindly set me up with a modem that overheats after about forty minutes. This isn’t normally a problem. But, on Wednesday night, I foolishly forgot to turn the modem off overnight, so when I popped down before leaving on Thursday morning, the modem was in a critical condition.
After a day’s rest, however, it has returned to fitness, as have Jens Lehmann, William Gallas, Alex Song, and Tomas Rosicky, who will all take some part in training over the next couple of days. They won’t, however, be considered for Sunderland on Sunday. Eduardo da Silva, meanwhile, remains injured.
As I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, Stan Kroenke has met with the Arsenal board. Whilst I can’t pretend to know what arose from the discussions held, it’s clear that Usmanov’s arrival on the scene has led Hill-Wood & Co to buddy up to Stan in the hope that he will support the board and not sell up – indeed, they may even attempt to convince him to sign the forthcoming extention to the “lockdown” agreement. All will become clearer at the AGM.
Emmanuel Adebayor is the OPTA Player of the Month for Septemeber, with Cesc in second place. Those two have arguably been our most impressive performers this season, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see one of them walk away with the Premier League Player of the Month award aswell.
Right. Now I’d better dash before the modem explodes.
