Arsene has been watching Mark Viduka very closely…

So in-depth has his scouting been, that he has been studying the art of sumo. Says Arsene:
“In Sumo the winner never expresses his joy out of respect for the loser . . . here the guy jumps in your face. The bust-up with Pardew is not the end of the Japanese that lives in me. Believe me he has not vanished. I am ready for Viduka and his sumo skills. I know I have the body but of a meek and feeble Frenchman, but I have the heart and stomach of a sumo. Perhaps not the stomach. He’s got one over me there.”
Gentle ribbing (not that you could ever get to his ribs), but it might just come back to bite(/eat) me. Hopefully, we’ll win 13 nil and he won’t touch the ball.
The fat wombat will make up half of a dangerous strike pair for Middlesbrough, alongside the powerful Nigerian Yakubu. We’ll have to be mindful at the back if we are to keep a clean sheet.
Team news for us is fairly simple: Adebayor is fit and will probably start, Johan Djourou is back, but Emmanuel Eboue is joined on the sidelines by Abou Diaby (only for a week this time, mind). Denilson retains his place in the squad.
Finally, remember that whisper about Gareth Bale? This one could run and run…
