Big Phil steps into Limelight…

Almost 18 months after arriving from Servette, and in fact a full two years since first putting pen to paper with the Gunners, Philippe Senderos is tonight in line to make his first Premiership start.
Fear not – he no longer sports possibly the worst haircut ever:
He is in fact a pretty good traditional centre-half. Anybody who saw his League Cup performances at Old Trafford and, interestingly/topically, against Man City will know he’s a player of immense potential. After all the injury problems he’s had, let’s hope tonight is the start of a long and distinguished Arsenal career.
It’s a very young Arsenal side that take to the field tonight, also including Justin Hoyte, Cesc Fabregas, and Robin van Persie. Let’s hope the kids show exactly what they’re capable of us, and that Shaun Wright-Phillips goes easy on the team we all hope he’ll someday join.
Come on Arsenal.
