Whilst I love the values that Wenger instilled into this Club - the simple reality is that money controls this game to a great extent. Despite Fifa Financial Fair Play rules, those with the money will always have an edge over those with less.

I see very little difference between an American owner and a Russian owner - accept for the fact that one is partnered with David Dein.

To be honest - it sounds a little racist that you take issue with the Russian.

Currently Arsenal enjoy a great deal of wealth when compared to clubs below us - we are indeed a rich club. But we pale in comparison to Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid etc.

It's naive to think that sport like any other business in the world, isn't influenced by financial powers.

I love Arsenal - and I will always stand by them. It doesn't mean I can't see the big picture at play - where clubs like Man City spend huge sums of money to outgun their rivals.

It's a fact of life. I'll give you an example...

Swansea were brilliant this year.... but I'm sure you can accept that they will never rise to win the league until they are financially strong enough to build a team that is superior to all others.

It's just not possible - they don't have the funds to attract, nurture and build that kind of side.

Now Arsenal are wealthy by comparison - yet there's a giant gap between us and a team like Man City. When you think that every player, including those on the bench at Man City earn at least double what our best players at Arsenal are paid you realise that it's going to be tough to compete.

You can't really blame a person who's job it is to play football to seek out a highly paid contract.

If someone came along to you today and offered you double your salary - would you say no? I doubt many would.

So Usiminov and David Dein promise to be something Stan the Man cant and wont. They promise to bring funds that can actually compete.

I for one would be thrilled to see Wenger re-united with Dein, and I don't doubt that together they could strategically bring about another period of Arsenal domination.

For now - I will be hopeful - with my glass half full attitude I'll optimistically look forward to next season with Jack Wilshire back in the team and Podolski up front with fingers crossed Robin. And yes, I will think we can win every game and be no# 1.

But it doesn't make me any less wary of the mechanisms of money.

HA HA,no to Usmanov says Hunter, yes to the capitalist wanker Kroenke whose is associated with the most despicable company in the world,Walmart, who treat their workers like shit.Kroenke believes there is nothing wrong with owners taking money out of clubs. When he is taking all the profits out to prop up the Rams,or the Nuggets don't be moaning coz you've been warned.Oh and our chairman PHW from june 2003 to may 2011 was non executive director of Petropavlovsk PLIC a murky Russian gold company run by Pavel Maslovsky. This company has been involved in shady business deals including blatantly ripping off shareholders.PHW will get into bed with a Russian with an unclear past, but will not allow a man who owns 30% more of the club than he does onto the board.Hill wood and the board do not make decisions that are best for the club, only whats best for them. They are more excited by developing property than by developing a football team.Still keep celebrating your 3rd place trophy, it will provide you with many happy memories on you deathbed whilst City and Chelsea fans remember all their glorious trophies.

I also think RVP will stay but we dont need another drawn out saga the sooner it's sorted the better. As we know by now the ox has been selected for the euros it's certainly better than the olympics the further he's away from that circus the better.

Always surprises me that people think Usmanov or Kronke would be an Abramovic style benefactor if they got complete ownership of shares.
I think either of them would jump straight into the Glazier way of doing things the moment they got the chance.
Shift the debt of buying the shares onto the club and take hefty amounts of cash out for themselves on a regular basis.
We're ripe for bleeding, not in need of a sugar daddy.
The stand off between the 2 of them is a good thing as long as it lasts, but I don't think it'll last forever.

And yeah City bought the title for 1 BILLION after 4 years I'm not sure they can afford that again... but we will wait and see. They will obviously try get around the fair play rules so I don't think they won't spend more... but I have a feeling their players ego's will get in the way of winning another title.

Well I think RVP would do well to remember everything the club has done for him. I'm not sure another club/manager would treat him as well as Wenger and Arsenal have. I would hate to see him as an overpriced bench warmer at manu, city etc due to a failure to fit in with a new team like Torres has been. I can't think of one example were an Arsenal striker has moved to another club and become a legend... yeah sure maybe winning stuff while warming the bench but not much else.

As expected, that Nash*t is taking a stab at us, telling us to go celebrate our third place while he concentrates on winning medals.

But one thing I do agree with him is the view that there are alot of players here who are just happy to take their pay check and turn up for work.
